You're fired!

The day that AT&T upgraded their fiberoptic lines to allow one to watch a Hi-Def channel and record another one... has finally come.

So I say to you, Mr. TimeWarner who has brought about soooo many frustrations with your inability to provide me a reliable internet connection... YOU'RE FIRED!

-Did I mention I also will be paying $30 less per month? Actually, yes, I believe I did mention that when I called and gave you one last chance to lower my monthly fees to stay with you. But you said "No", instead opting to spend money to find a new customer instead of retaining an old one.
-Did I mention I can also schedule a recording via the internet?
-Did I mention I get more HD Channels?
-Did I mention I get the NFL network, and no longer care about your feud with Jerry Jones?
-Did I mention my DVR HardDrive is 120 hours instead of 80?

Oh well, all good things must come to an end, Mr TimeWarner, even though I tried and tried to keep our friendship alive, you refused to lower your price a little to keep me. Let's see, 1995 to 2008 = 13 years. 13 years X 12 = 156 months. 156 x +/-$120 a month = $18,700. I guess our past relationship simply didn't matter to you, and our future obviously didn't look bright enough.

In other news, I ran 10.7 miles today, and saw a beautiful sky behind the capitol.

Even though I no longer own any AT&T stock, I do have an affinity for them, and once I get the iPhone, I'm switching my cable too. Those TW jerks called me over the weekend to ask me to change over my phone and internet service but I said No...

In other news, Discover Card calls me about twice a day to solicit.

join the TW bashing wagon!

At least you didn't inherit someone's work number that has car payment issues. Someone (hiuman or computer) calls me at least once a day asking for some dude trying to collect on a car payment or something.
