Today we ran another 16.4 mile Thursday route.
It was flat, then hilly, then flat, then hilly, then flat, then i pulled away on a hill but two guys actually held me and blcoked me in while the third ran ahead of us so someone would win a climb. Pathetic. Then more hills, then no one was even close to me on some of the other hills, then more hills, then downhills, then flat.
I finished my ass kicking session with a couple of miles to go, and let the guys feel good about themselves by runing ahead of me on flat Lake Austin blvd and Stratford to Barton springs. I even faked being a little tired so they would think they're still about as good as I am.
I am a superstar, i feel great, and no one can even touch my abilities.
I predict tears wil flow when i whoop up on all the black short shirtless wonders in September during HILL MONTH.
I'm not even going to waste my time showing you my splits for the day. Imagine Michael Phelps' performance in the pool, and then picture his abilities but in a runner. That's how good I am, and my splits were.
I may up my goal at CIM to 2:46, as 3:10 seems pedestrian to me.

Way to go, Wiley! I wish you could rub off on me a bit, I need a little confidence boosting... and way to be a team player. Did you win an Oscar for your tired performance??
Are those time goals for the whole race or just the last mile?
Are you going to be this confident in our business meeting tomorrow???
Oh, and I like how you labeled the post "cocky"
Thanks, Foho.
Ken, i'm deleting your coment, sorry, you broke one of my rules.
Brownie, CIM is a 50km race. I intend on running it in 2 hour 46 minutes.
Shorey, people like to buy from confident people. People don't like to buy from cocky people. I'll tone it down by 3%.
and my new label, it's awesome! expect more posts with that label!
Only 3%? Maybe it will go well, and we can grab some cupcakes when we get back!!!!
!@#$%^&* and *&^%$#@! and !@$#%^$& Deleting my comment! !@#$%$#@#$%^ and @#$%@#$%^ !! So there you go.
You're a better runner than you think you are. I don't buy the fake cockiness. You could use a dose of the real stuff. Keep on.
Agree with Scott.
Also love the cocky label.
Also think you should let yourself run faster than 3:10.
