100% suicide

I love weather. When I watched the weather forecast last Wednesday night on Fox at 9pm, the guy posted a 100% chance of rain on Saturday. Immediately, i thought that was TV Weatherman suicide! And as you all know, not drop of rain came in to Austin on Saturday. So as i can't sleep, I went to their website and dropped the weather dude a note:

Hi,

I'm a big weather enthusiast, and was very surprised when last Wednesday, the 9pm news guy stated 100% chance of rain on Saturday. (due to Ike)

There's no getting out of 100%!!
100% is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT.

Immediately I thought: "oh no, you can't claim 100% three full days in advance in Austin. Is this guy a rookie??"

And sure enough, he should have played it safe as all meteorologists (almost) always do with a 90%. ha ha ha ha

I'll be very surprised if I ever see a 100% on a weather forecast (for the next day) again in Austin! Sure, on a current conditions, 100% may work, but on a forecast, why set yourself up for failure!?!?! At least on Fox!

I'll keep watching, but now I'll always think: "Hey, there's that dude that forecasted 100% chance of rain!!"
