Jevon Snead

Three years ago, Jevon Snead and Colt McCoy battled for the starting position at UT.
Colt won out, and my opinion is that he won simply because he came in several month earlier and was able to study the play book, and get a few extra practices in.

Jevon left UT (rightfully so) and sat out a year before now being a starter at Ole Miss.

I don't dislike McCoy, but ever since the first ever public practice I attended, I just alwasy felt that Jevon had a bigger upside. Yes Colt is good, and I support him all the way, but I think Jevon in the long run could have lead us farther.

I'm really enjoying watching Jevon play today (as they switched away from the OU game. Yes!!!). It's his second game ever at Ole Miss, and he's poised in the pocket and really playing well!

He has a great great arm, and some real ZINNNNGGGG on his throws, and I really hope he has a fantastic college and professional career.

I think we made a mistake by letting this guy get away.

Colt is now the *all-time* leader in TD passes for UT. So no, we didn't make any mistake. I wish the best for Jevon, and yeah he HAD to leave in order to have any shot at a future in football.

(just found this blog entry, btw, from looking up jevon to see where he transferred to)

To each his own opinion, That's the beauty of football!
From what I saw in the practices, I felt like Jevon had a greater upside. He was raw, but his arm was spectacular.
I agree that Colt has been playing well, but I still think that he tends to throw the ball up there as prayers (against better competition than the cupcakes we've faced so far).
Either way, just keep winning, that's all i want regardless who's at QB.
