Tuesday Wednesday

Lately, I haven't been sleeping too well. I think it's because it's the end of my sales quarter, because when i wake up in the middle of the night, that's the first thing that pops into my head, and the things I need to do to more my pipeline along.

Tuesday we ran the Julia Rollers again. I ran the 2.9 mile leg out faster than 2 weeks ago, not sure how i could go any faster because last week was pretty darn fast.
On the return, I opted to listen to coach and only run a little faster than MGP, maybe teasing HMGP pace. I was still pretty dead towards the end. 9.1 miles total.

yesterday afternoon, there was a car accident on the street by my home, and the car took out the electricity post, so I was out of power at 3:04pm. (yes, I know exactly what time) So, I opted not to take a nap, instead went to the grocery store to beat the crowds, then came home and napped from 5:15 till about 6:30pm. I then slept like a rock from 9:20 til 4:20am when my alarm rang. So much for not being able to sleep well!

Wednesday (Today) I ran with a bunch of team roguers (Tempo, John, Derrick, Nedra, Kamran, Bruce and Ken. Yes, I said Ken (aka Peter Pan) Peter has found his shadow and rejoined us! woo hoo!) I ran a karma loop before hand, so my total ended up being 9.2 miles today. On the last 2 miles, i was very tired.

My legs feel like bricks these days. I'm not burnt out, as I'm still easily getting up at 4:30am, and still super excited about what's ahead, but my legs are tired. It's interesting how my mileage is much lower than before, but these speed and hill workouts, coupled with Saturday's long run has my legs feeling heavy. On the way to our cars after soaking in the magical mystical waters of Barton Springs I said to Kamran: I don't think I'll run the pace i'm supposed to hold tomorrow. My legs are tired.
To which he responded: Yeah you will.
To which I responded: Yeah, you're right. I probably will.
; )

Suck it up and roll, Mike.
