I voted

Yesterday, I voted. I went at 10:30am at the early voting at the Randalls on Mopac and William Cannon. I think there were 8 people in line in front of me, but as they have 16 booths, it went really fast. I'd say the whole process took 5 - 7 minutes. I did find it very strange that if you have your voter registration card, they don't need to check your ID. They plug some data off the card into a computer to make sure your card is real, but they don't check to make sure that YOU are the person that is on the card. (You can also show up with just your Driver's license if you forgot your Voter reg card.)

As we all know, you don't just vote for a President/VP, but you also have a tons of city government people to vote for.

Beacuse of all the other people you can vote for, there were two McCains on the ballot. I voted for one of the two, but I won't tell you which one. ha!

There were also 2 City Propositions. One of them was a no-brainer for me, but the other one, I was undecided on. I literally made up my mind on that proposition when i had my finger on that track wheel thing.

Which brings about the question...
I wonder how many milions out there will be undecided on which Presidential candidate they will vote for, all the way up until they are standing there, with their finger on the tackwheel/punchcard/touchscreen, and ready to press the button?

Doing your civic duty...good job.

I don't think there will be very many people going to the voting box undecided. The candidates (and their positions)are too different.

I've never ever been in a voting booth. I voted once, by mail, but that's it.

Wonder if I ever will get the chance.
