I just went and looked at some stats from Google Analytics to see if people read my blog at all.
Last time I did this was a few months ago, and i was seeing between 50 and 70 pageviews a day. (Pageviews and unique visitors are very similar as most people don't return more than once a day.)
Here's what it looked like the week before the marathon, and after the marathon!
(First number is total pageviews, second number is unique vistors)
Wednesday - 261 / 227
Thursday - 566 / 503
Friday - 256 / 240
Saturday - 176 / 156
Sunday (raceday) - 342 / 240
Monday - 309 / 271
Tuesday (race report) - 230 / 188
Wednesday - 225 / 174
Thursday - 137 / 112

And it's been fluctuating between 120 and 150 since then. On that Thursday Dec 4, I didn't post anything out of the ordinary.
Pretty cool! I had no idea that many people had so much time on their hands. Makes me want to stop using profanity, and pay attention to my spelling/grammar.
It's even interesting to dig real deep and see where people live that are reading... like for example, someone in the south eastern part of Sweden is reading my blog.
hi mom!
Or that people brought their laptops/iphones with them to California and read my blog from there?
