That little yellow light

As I lie here quietly bored to tears, unable to sleep as a miilion
thoughts have invaded my head, I've noticed there's a little yellow
light on the ceiling. It's too dark in the room to tell what it is
for, and I dot want to shine my bright phone screen at it and risk
waking the "the lightning" up. Afterall, he has a tough task ahead of
him attempting to break 2 hours 50 minutes tomorrow!
So what's really pecuulliar about this yellow blinking light, is the
blinking pattern itself. I've studied it for a good 10 minutes trying
to unveil the secret to it's errtic pattern, but I can't unlock the
code.

It will blink, then blink a second later, then maybe 3 secoda later,
then a blink blink, or a blink blink blink, or, at times it'll blink
so many times it's more like an incessant flicker for a food two
seconds. Then it will rest and blink again. I can kind of
understand why it's rebelling against the normal smoke detector code
of conduct, as I would have given up on the "1 blink every 3 seconds"
a long time ago if I was stuck on a ceiling for the rest of my life too.

So there you have it, a glimpse into my time lying in the dark., and
the life of that little yellow light.

In other news from room 504, no one has walked by our room in the 2
hours I've been awake. I find that odd. Why isn't anyone awake and
replying to my email request to go chat down in the lobby. So selfish
of them to just sleep through my distress signals. Maybe I'll start
calling people!
