Heavy Legs, go away.

This morning we had a 7mile steady state run on the menu.
I forgot my watch at home (couldn't find it,and it was time to leave), but grabbed my backup watch in my car's glove box.  Note to self: backup watch needs a new battery!

So i ran without time, which doesn't really matter since there were no mile markers.

I started out with heavy legs, and ended with heavy legs, but somewhere in the middle, I surprised myself by being able to block out the heavy legs in my brain, and picked up the pace.
Assumptions:  i passed Kamran and he said he was going 7:30 (he's injured), so i can only assume i was going around 7min/mile at that point.   I caught up to Charles and he claims that he averaged a 6:37.   We had Sisson and Ken in sight in the last 2 miles and were actually gaining on them.  Not huge gains, but gradual gains.  Ken said they went about 6:25 in the last few miles.

So, i'd say I started at 7min pace, blocked out the heavy legs, picked up the pace to a 6:40 or so, then picked it up to a 6:20.

Good effort, for what I thought would be a crappy run!
I need a massage in a bad way.

Tomorrow, I'm taking a rest day.  It coincides perfectly with my little 24 hour trip out to Orlando for a couple of VERY important Friday morning meetings.   The fate of my forseeable future lies on the outcome of those meetings.  Wish me luck!

Gotta go, need to go pack, and drop Karma off at E's!  (he loves E's backyard!)
