A few weeks ago I wrote about my friend Russ who is doing something so remarkable, I can't wait every morning to read his blog and see his latest update.
What's he doing again?
Russ is part of the Trans Europe 2009 race. He is running 64 STARIGHT days, 45 miles per day average, with NO rest days. That's right. Almost 2 marathons per day for 64 days from the southern tip of Italy to the very top of Sweden/Norway/Finland.
He just completed day 26. You can follow his daily writeups and photos he uploads here: http://secker.blogspot.com

The cool part about this, is that I will be in Sweden when he's there and my dad has agreed to drive out and meet up with him! Russ just replied to my email (to make sure it's OK), and was excited to hear the news. Even though he's telling me they're running slow: " Be prepared - we're soooooo slow after all these miles - I mean realllllly slow."
I think it will be a blast to spend 30 mins or an hour or so running along with him, then hook him up with some treats, maybe a nice piece of salmon or steak, or something else. We'll see what I can come up with!
If you have a good luck card or something extremely light you'd like me to take to him, I can do that! I need it by next Thursday May 21 at Noon at the latest. Let me know.

If I think of something to send, that's small/light I'll get it too you soon.
Maybe someday you'll be running across Europe...eh Mike?
I had lunch with Claire yesterday and she told us about your meeting up with Russ...that's very cool. I can't wait to hear all about it from you.
