Stockholm minus 1

I love arguments between siblings, especially when it's my dad and his sister arguing over where to park! hahaha I'm overdramatizing things, they're not arguing, but it's fun to listen to them argue and me try to explain that it's not the smartest to park INSIDE of a marathon circle, but it is what it is.

Taper week has gone ok, i guess. not at all like any other taper i've done. Monday I ran 7.27 at around 7:45 pace at 6:30pm
Tuesday I ran 15km (9 miles) with Russ over 2+ hours at 11:45am.
Wednesday I didn't run, don't remember what we did that kept me from it.
Thursday it rain off and on all day long, but i got lucky and chose the right window to run 8.5 kms of which the 2nd half at MGP without a drop of rain on me!
Today I ran 30 easy minutes and I felt really relaxed and positively emotional. I could have easily gone for a 3-4 hour run today, but it wasn't right to do.

Yesterday afternoon we drove in to Stockholm (1.5 hours) to drive about a 1/4 of the course. Since it's kind of a loop we run twice these will be miles 7-13 and then 19-26.2. The roads have quite a bit of construction on them, and besides a long gradual climb on the bridge, there's also a good 3-4km at the end that climbs slightly. Kind of like running from congress bridge up to the capitol, maybe a tad more incline. Should make for a tough but fun day.

I've decided to not stress over the weather since it can't be controlled and it will surely be in the mid 70's with blue skies. Just have to hope the warm month we had in Austin did me good.

I'm pretty much ready to go, except i can't decide between my black sleeveless team rogue shirt or a white short sleeve shirt. I guess i will have to flip a coin tomorrow. I may go with the black one regardless since I can get a new Team Rogue shirt at any time, but it's a little difficult to get a new short sleeved Boston Marathon 2009 shirt.

Doesnt look like there will be online tracking, but there will be web video on universalsports.com.

Wasnt able to track down any Body Glide at the expo, since it was pretty crappy and only sponsors there. Bummer. The grocery store didnt have vaseline either, so i will just have to chafe!

Finally, I asked at the pacer booth if they were running chip time of clock time, and they said all pacers will run clock time. I feel sorry for the 3:45-4:30+ pace groups that will need to make up 5-10 minutes of time! big ouch. personally, i'm not sure what i will do, since their 3:00 pace bands say 4:16 per km, and mine says 4:13 and 4:15. Plus I dont really want to run my ass off for the start to catch up to clock time even though I am in the 2nd corral as apparently the pace groups start at the very back of a corral.
