Day 3: Hayden Creek to Bear Creek

The toughest 22 miles I've ever completed.
5 brutal climbs
5 hours 20 mins

Last 3 miles took me 65 minutes.

For the whole three days the elevation didn't really affect me
breathing-wise but the relentless long climbs did me in today.
Probably didn't help that whiskey and beer was on the camping after
dinner menu last night.

(I have new found respect for people who complete 100 or even 50 miles
trail races in Colorado)

I have a lot of respect for you going out and running 3 20 mile days in a row. Especially with those tough climbs. Isn't Colorado awesome though. I remember doing some amazing mountain bike riding from Salida back in my cycling days.
