FINALLY! and YUM!

This morning I was happy to read in an email from the ACL Festival that they have finally decided to give Zilker Park back to the people of Austin.

Thats' right!!! No more chain linked fence?!?! Zilker opens back up this Friday at Noon after 11 months of work adding sprinkler systems, adding topsoil, and a nice layer of grass for the Soccer teams to tear up this fall! woohoo!! Almost makes me want to resume my soccer career!

I was starting to think they had secretly bought the exclusive rights to it for the entire year only to use it for 3 days when I flee town!

(I wonder if they'll let us wear shoes on their nice lawn, i think they will, but I doubt the chain link fence surrounding it will ever come down.)

In another even more important note, I definitely haven't lost my love for Cheetos, since after all, they are the root of all goodness in the world. However, HOWEVER!.... yesterday I let my fingers venture into the unknown world of a new bag of Doritos Last Call Jalapeno Popper....

... and few words can describe the goodness i experienced. Of course, I had no problem disclosing this new love affair to my dear friend (and dietician) after our run this morning. Her response... "That why I love this guy!" coupled with a hug.

In Mer speak that pretty much means... I gave up on you a long time ago!

I sent her an email this morning letting her know the nutritional value says, No Pig, No Gluten, No MSG, and No Transfats! What more can you ask for!?
