Since I only went 10 yesterday, I had to make up for it this morning. However, I was out and about a little too late last night, which made the 4am wakeup really tough with only 4hrs 15 minutes of sleep. But I kept my end of the bargain, and got to BS by 4:58am and knocked out 14 miles with the guys. Miles 6-8 were a little rough, but after those, i actually kept feeling stronger and stronger and we ran the last mile or so at a nice steady 7:30'ish pace.
The cooler morning temps (68'ish) these days allowed me to up Karma's mileage by 50%, so he went 3 instead of his regular 2. He did great, but did go out too fast since he spotted a cat then ran all over the place hyped up on adrenalin, so the last mile was a little sluggish. He's well on his way to building back up to 7-8 trail miles during the winter months! Good stuff.
VIVA MEXICO!
(Happy Independence Day!)
