13 miles of aggressive hill work and tempo

We ran a 4 mile rectangular loop 3 times today + warmup and warmdown.
The loop starts at the base of Stratford which is just under 2 miles of incessant hills. It then returns down a flat 1.2 mile Lake Austin Blvd. We ran the uphills and the flats hard hard hard, the downs as a recovery on Stratford, and on Lake Austin Blvd, we ran a healthy pace. In between the two roads we ran recovery.

I ran great. I'm happy with how I did and really feel like I'm making strides towards regaining the speed I lost from trail running. I didn't wear a watch so i can't tell you splits, as that was not the intention of the workout, but I know by feel that the 3 lake austin blvd sections were around 6:30, 6:30 and 6:20'ish.

Sounds uneventful, but it's a tough tough workout; one that kicks your ass if you're not ready for it.
