Tomorrow, I return at 6am for a 90min workout to simulate the regular workout we have and then I'll go back after work for another 60min workout.
Coach says he sends many of his UT girls to aqua jogging when injured and the ones that really take it seriously have come out of the pool fitter than when they went in. I called bullshit on that, and he right away told me he wasn't pulling my leg or just trying to make me feel better about my knee.
I'm gonna aqua jog like no one has ever aqua jogged before. Can't wait for 6am!

Mike - I'm no expert on running, injuries, or aqua jogging but I did my fair share of aqua jogging last year during IM training and was able to jump back in after the time off and pick back up with my running buddies without missing a beat. And the shin splints were gone, too! Fingers crossed for a similarly good outcome for you...happy aqua jogging!
I think I recall a friend I know, Mike might be his name, making fun of me for cross-training. hmmmm...interesting.
Go getem! Also, I want you to tell me something after your first aqua jog. Is it necessary to drink water when aqua jogging? This is a serious question.
Elizabeth, thanks for the encouragement!
Mer, never made fun of you. Just teased. Subtle, but BIG difference!
Dustin, absolutely. In fact, if I can't run by saturday, I will do 3 hrs on Saturday, and I will have water and gels. No joke.
Deena Kastor said it worked for her.
This is truly a sad, sad day...
I have only one question... Are those ladies in the picture Polish? (recalling the day when u folks were looking for Sweden and me Poland...) in the Greenbelt.
This is too frickin' cute of a photo! What a pair!
