National Champions run!!

The University of Texas Mens Swimming and Diving team won their 10th National Championship over the weekend.
Last night (and this morning), the tower was lit in their honor with the Number 1.
We did our usual Wednesday morning 10 mile run and made it into a special UT Tower outing. Here are some photos.

My friend Jon, in yellow works for the UT Swimming program, so it was fitting to take some photos of him with the Tower to commemorate this proud moment for him and his profession.

As for running,10.2 miles today. My knee was really sore (if not painful) for about 6 miles of the run, but eventually the pain subsided which was quite welcome.
Yesterday, I decided to sleep in and skip our workout as my legs felt tired from Saturday. That was definitely the right move.

I got quad-at-knee physical therapy treatment on Monday evening, and got a full leg massage yesterday. I go in for more physical therapy treatment this afternoon. I feel like a professional athlete these days with all the leg love. The only thing missing are the huge paychecks after every run.

wait...there are huge paychecks in running? I think you have your sports mixed up. Keep dreamin'.

Last I heard, Usain lighting Bolt was livin' large, and Jenny Baringer signed a nice new balance contract, as did that Oregon kid with Nike. (his name escapes me for some reason)

Then again, I do believe I simply said professional athlete, and not professional "runner". ; )
ha!
