Numbers

These are my last 6 weeks (with the break down of that total in parenthesis) (Aqua Run sessions)
  1. 65 (10, 10, 12.5, 8, 16, 9)
  2. 6.5 (4, 1, 1.5) (3 Aqua Runs)
  3. 31 (7, 24 mile run) - (5 Aqua Runs, one 2-a-day)
  4. 27.5 (8, 18 mile trail run, 1.5) (2 Aqua Runs)
  5. 7 (7) (3 Aqua Runs)
  6. 60.7 (8.5, 10, 10, 27.3, 5)
Rolling off a 65 mile low mileage week, the knee gave up and I was reduced to nothing. I'm still unsure how I managed to run that 24 miler on week 2, but I did. It just shows you should never give up faith that things will get better, and you don't lose as much fitness as you would think.

Yesterday, Muz joined Karma and I for an easy easy trail run. My legs were REALLY sore, and my knee was pretty upset. We ran jogged very slowly for the first 20mins, then it got better. Once the run was over, the legs had loosened up, and we were both happy we got out amongst the trees and the flowing water.

I'm usually a 280-350 mile per month runner. For March I'm sitting at 126 miles with 2 days to go. A couple of weeks ago, I was simply hoping to get to 100 miles, so I'm ecstatic that I'll be close to 150 by month's end assuming the quad-at-knee continues to cooperate. I'm happy and thankful for every mile I can run.

Today is a rest day.
