Weird Spasms on the 10 miler

Look at your right knee. My issue is the area of the quad muscle that comes over and to the inside left side of the knee. It has a knot like no one has ever seen, and it's so tight and hard, and mad at me, that it cripples me.

But work the doc did on Monday, along with some exercises I do at home, it seems to slowly returning to a more supple muscle. Slolwy.

Today was a great day. It was fantastic to pull up at Barton Springs at 5:25 am for a return to my weekly Wednesday 10 mile run, 2 of which with karma. He loved his two miles and has been all pooped out and sleeping hard and dreaming all morning!
I hadn't run with John and Jon and Meredith in ages, and seeing the normal sights along the roads we run was truly great.

The run went ok. I had some (about 7 or 8) very strong muscle spasms (not cramps), (maybe due to all the treatment and excercises I'm putting it through?) during the run. Mostly on the first 2/3rds of it. It was the weirdest feeling, but it wasn't a pain so to speak; kind of like if you take your hand/fist and close it really hard for a second or two.

But when u can run 10 miles and all you can complain about are some crazy muscle spasms here and there, then it's a great day with nothing but smiles.

I'm just sooo happy to slowly get running back into my life. But I'm a big believer and fan of the pool, so I won't forget it, and will visit it regularly. Probably after Boston, because I have 26 days, and there's a lot of catching up to do!

Glad to see you're back on the roads/trails. Not happy about your new love of the pool. You'll be running barefoot before long...
