Last meaningful workout

  • 2 mile easy warmup.
  • 6x1 mile at Marathon Goal Pace (6:45)
  • 2 mile cooldown
The problem with Taper week ("to taper" is when you reduce mileage and intensity to start building up glycogen and energy stores for the big day) is that we have waaaay too much energy in us.
Most of the mile splits were too fast even tho we did everything possible to mankind to slow ourselves down.
6:30, 35, 37, 41, 45, 45

We decided that it's a good thing that faster paces feel really slow to us, but we're certainly NOT going to get carried away on Monday.

Cool I thought we were supposed to do 4 miles at tempo, good thing I did not do the workout yet. Damn it is exciting. Lets do this XYZ.
