1:30.61

We were to do twelve 400 meter repeats on the track at 5km pace, which for me is a 5:48'ish which means 1:26 for 400. In between each one, we did 200m recoveries.

After 8 of them, my knee felt like it was rattling and felt like things may come apart so I slowed it down to 10km pace for the final 4, which was a 1:31 for the 400, of 6:08min/mile. David, whom is battling turf toe was also happy to lower the pace to 10km, which honestly felt ridiculously easy after doing 2 miles (8 laps) at 5km pace.

Why did i post all my splits? simply because I always find it amazing how simple it is to lock in a pace and pretty much nail the time over and over and over, just based on feel. (We did have that one 24 second fast lap, but that was due to going around the 3:30train for which we increase the pace.

I iced the the knee and hamstrings after the run, but the knee is still a little cranky this afternoon. I had knee treatment yesterday, and go back again at 9am on Saturday, right after our long run so he can see what shape it's in after 20 miles.

You only have to make it another ten or so days before you can really rest that knee for your taper!
