About 100 yards in tothe run, I was all of a sudden losing my balance, and falling forward in slow motion. As i fell on top of him, Karma let out some loud pitched dog cries as I stumbled on top of him, followed by a nice sliding session on asphalt on my hand, elbow and knee trying to not smush my dog. (Definitely not his fault in any way. I think I simply didn't pay attention that he was closer than i thought and must have gotten tangled on the double-length leash i use on road runs.)
Thought for a few seconds to call it a day as it burned pretty good, and I was so close to the car, but decided that Karma deserved his mile, so I carried on. I'm glad I did, as I dropped him after 1 and went for a 2nd mile. No IT Band issues, but maybe that's because my adrenalin was probably working overtime.
I opted not to jump into Barton Springs for the second part of my workout, as I my scrapes were bleeding quite nicely, the water isn't the cleanest and I also forgot to bring a towel with me. I'll go try this full run/aqua run workout again tomorrow morning.
