Sunday I took it easy on the IT Band, taking Karma for a mile loop then spending 40minutes in Barton Springs, which was good for two laps. Not much pain, more of an annoyance.
Today being a National Holiday, my traditional run with Mer and anyone else who wants to join was in effect as we would run the closed roads of Austin before the start of the 2,000 person Austin Triathlon.
I finally decided to test the knee on asphalt for more than 3 miles. Sure enough at about 4 miles it got quite uncomfortable, then gradually worse for the next mile or so. It probably didn't help that I spent 6 hours on my feet helping out my friends as www.greasemonkeywipes.com at their triathlon expo booth. That may sound boring to some, but I hadn't laughed as much as I did with Carrie, Tim and Erin in several months. I later got word that we sold a bunch of product too, which was great to hear!
Happy Labor Day, everyone.
