This is the email I sent my masseuse (and cc:'d Mer) after my run today...

The plan was for 60mins easy this am.
But... 9miles in 1hr45 on the greenbelt was the result.
Probably 5 miles too many, but when you fall in love all over it's REALLY hard to stop. I love running the greenbelt so so much, and 13 weeks off made it too hard to stop at 60 mins. Plus, I had great company!
The IT Band felt a little irritated almost all the way through EXCEPT on some climbs where it ceased being grumpy. But it was the same irritated feeling that I had all night long from your work on it, so who knows.
I iced it at the knee(problem area) for a good 20minutes. Will stretch and roll later after my shower.
As much as I WANT to go run trails again tomorrow, I'll be smart and just spin for an hour in the pool then run easy 45 mins on Monday.
I'll report back Monday afternoon as promised. Thanks again for yesterday! You may have "unlocked" something! "
Don't you wish your masseuse was as cool as mine to the point that she's a personal friend? Yeah, I thought so.
