Where: Barton Creek Trail Run. Spyglass Entrance
When: 6:30am, Sunday, 8/20/06
Distance: 8 miles.
Time: 1hr 20 mins.
Company: Carolyn and Nedra. (Amanda and Gordon were no shows. Something about drinking Champagne the night before)
Weather: Pleasant. It was probably about 75 at the start and 80 degrees at the end, but once on the trail, it felt very nice. A bit humid, but not like other mornings.

We had a great run. We started off at Spyglass entrance and ran up past the MoPac bridge and 360 bridge. No Karma this time, as I wasn’t sure I’d have enough water for myself on a longer trail run. I was right. I need to buy another water bottle, OR, get a camelback to carry water for him too. If anyone has any ideas on carrying water for my dog, feel free to share.
After the run, we went and soaked at Barton Springs for 18 minutes, then headed over to Las Manitas again for breakfast. It was great! Nedra followed suit and ordered Huevos Rancheros, my way, and wasn’t disappointed. We’re eating them against next week!

They make cloth portable dog dishes. I'm sure you can find 'em at REI or Whole Earth. I always clip one of those with a caribiner to my Camelbak and stop periodically to offer a drink in the bowl. That works pretty well and doesn't add any significant weight to carry.
Sounds like a great run!
