On our agenda for today was 4 sets of the Warhurst.
Yes, that's not a typo. Four sets.
As usual, the non-Chicago runners only had to do 3, so the 4th lap was deserted.
My quads are really sore, and I'm not quite sure why. Either I am severely dehydrated, or i did something over the last few days that blew up my quads.
I'd only done 3 sets before, and Warhurst was synonymous to Hell, so this would be fun.
On June 26, these were my times: Paces: 1stM- 7:09 800:3:06 2ndM- 6:58 800:2:58 3rdM- 6:52 800:2:52.
This time, as I was doing 4 sets, I decided to err on the conservative side of things. Not only were we doing 4 sets, but we were running 1200 on the track instead of 800.
Mile 1: 7:14
1200: 5:13 (about 3:20 for 800)
Mile 2: 7:14
1200: 5:07 (about 3:15 for 800)
Mile 3: 6:55
1200: 4:55 (about 3:09 for 800)
Mile 4: 6:57
1200: 4:41 (about 3:04 for 800)
Pretty happy with my performance, as this was much longer and harder (+1.75 miles)than a month ago, and I did almost as well.
Speaking of Hell, 18mile Run From Hell this Sunday. I can't wait. I'm going to dominate.

I am still not exactly sure what a Warhurst is. But I am pretty glad I declined your invitation to join you on your last one.
INtense training. Hang in there with the volume and pace work. Good luck
!
ok...that's just plain CRAZY!
High quality workout. I'm also running Chicago, but won't be keeping up with you... What's your goal time? Keep up the great training and posting.
Getting fit, Longhorn Slim, getting fit.
