The end of an era.

For the last 4 or 5 years I have eaten/drank a Nouriche Yoghurt every day of my life. I lvoed those things. To me, they were the perfect breakfast as they had 55grams of carbs, and 10 grams of protein, amongst all the calcium, vitamin C and others vitamins.
I grew up in Mexico and France, two Yoghurt friendly countries, and quickly noticed that Yoghurts were not as popular in the US when I moved here.

Granted, the majority of the population during the (F)Atkins diet craze became deathly scared of Carbohydrates, but to me, those things were perfect. Alas, all good things must come to an end, and suddenly supplies dwindled. I immediately emailed both Yoplait and HEB grocery store. HEB replied first saying that they stopped carrying it, so I took off at lunch to Randall's in search of the goodness. No luck there either.
Less than 24 hours later, Yoplait emailed me back too, telling me that they had discontinued the product line. Fuckers.

So, now I've begun my search for a replacement drinkable Yoghurt. I'll chronicle my search, which started a couple of weekends ago.

What about DanActive? Is that yogurt-based? I'd bet Whole Foods has something.

Just saw a commercial for Promise Supershots. Supposed to lower your cholesterol, but they are "fruit and yogurt" drinks.

Sorry to hear about the nouriche shakes...they are good.

Stoneyfield Farms makes some good yogurt smoothies, but they are a little more expensive than the Yoplait.
