Awesome Mike! I'm jealous...I only have 3 20 milers under my belt and I walked in the last 4 on one of those. I didn't get started til the end of June cuz of my injury but in looking at your progression I am thinking that if my progression is kinda similar that I will just have the readiness for completing 26.2 by California. Helps to see yours in print. How did that 24.2 in August feel for you??

of ALL the long runs, you chose THAT one!!! that was the worst performance of my season!

It was the second week of my 3 consecutive 100 milers... so I was not in best of spirits.. on top of that... I travelled the day before, long meeting through lunch, then late flight home... was starved before i even went to bed...

lets instead read about the prior 24 miler, on my 1st 100 mile week. it's so much prettier:

the 3rd century weeks' 24 miler was a turd too:

ugh, i'm never running 3 onehundred mile weeks in a row again!

my other 20+ milers have all been great great great. I just got 0 days off during those 3 weeks, so you chose the wrong ones to hear about! hee hee

(anyway, that's why i like to write very descriptive runs... so i can go back and remember the run and how i felt)

That's incredible! With that many long runs under your belt, your marathon will seem like nothing.
