The 10 mile St Eds route turned out to be 9 miles, but that's ok with me.
My hamstring felt pretty darn good almost the entire way. A little tender around mile 6.5, but nothing that would stop me any other day.
It felt so good to be out there again!
Global warming is playing games with us, as it's really messing up weather patterns. Today I ran in 70 degree weather with 90%+ humidity, in a shorts, socks and shoes.
Tomorrow I will run in under freezing conditions in polar gear.
what a difference 24 hours makes!
Speaking of tomorrow, I'm going to go out and kick myself into shape. I'm going to go out on the greenbelt and do some good hillwork to see if i'm in shape for a 50KM on Jan 10, or if I should back off and go with the 25KM. it's going to be great!
I sent an email to several of my running friends, but so far, they all seem to have wussed out and haven't replied. Guess it may have something to do with these two lines I wrote in the email invite:
The weather is supposed to be COLD, like "under 32 degrees cold" overnight so no idea how cold it will be at 8am. But like the quote Brownie wrote the other day: "there's no such thing as bad weather, there's only soft people."
Yes, this run may very well kick your ass if you're not strong enough, which I don't think some of you are.

I'm pretty sure I couldn't keep up - even on the trail! Silver dog and Karma would probably have fun. Now you mention the word trail, I might go do 6 miles on a trail somewhere with Silver tomorrow. Maybe we'll go explore Walnut Creek a little. Just need something not to hilly. I was genuinely wooped after todays MGP run.
