If you're planning on tracking me online on race morning, here are the crucial windows I need to hit throughout the race.
If you see me come in well under 42 minutes at the 10KM mark, feel free to yell at me to SLOW THE %$#@ DOWN!!!, because that will spell disaster 2 hours later.
10Km @ 0:42:10 to 0:42:30
Half @ 1:29:30 to 1:29:50
30km @ 2:07:00 to 2:07:30
40KM @ 2:49:20 to 2:50:00
Yes, I am this anal when it comes to race day.
Thanks for all your support, people!

Your half split is too slow.
Woo hoo! Can't wait to follow it - you guys WILL tear it up in Boston! Good luck!
brownie, I don't want to get in a discussion over it and plant uncertainty in my head, but those are solid numbers I like. i am not looking to fade into the sunset on the late miles, and will not make the mistake people make of blowing up my quads on the front half downhills. that's just stupid.
I am comfortable with these splits, which are 6:50 and 6:52 splits.
they're just guidelines, as long as i'm not OVER i'm fine.
as long as i'm not WAAAY under, I'm fine.
Just don't be below 1:27. Or above 1:28. Remember, you're going to lose several minutes at Wellesley...
crap. you're right... 1:27:30 is a good plan. allows for 2 mins of action.
