Holy Mud, Batman!

Fact: The amount of mud you have on your lower legs at the end of a trail run, is directly related to how much fun you had.
Fact: Even if it's raining, in the greenbelt, the cedar trees protect you.
Fact: Weather in Austin is generally untrustable.

The plan was to run this morning at 7am, but the skies were menacing and it was pouring rain at 6:40 at my house. 4 others were to join me, but like dominos they all changed their plans.
Karma had been prancing around the house with his leash and his running bandana on since 6:15, so there was no denying him the fun he knew he was in for.

I drove out to the Powerline entrance, and figured I'd be ok under the tree canopy, as long as there was no lightning or thunder. As I parked, Mother Nature turned off her sprinkler system, and I figured I had a good shot at getting to the tree line at the end of the powerline (0.8 miles) before it rains again. Long story short, not a single additional drop came down from the skies throughout my entire run. A few spots ond the greenbelt were muddy, and a few others had nice puddles to run through, but other than that, it was a great great run. Human and Dog alike, were highly satisfied when we were done.

By the looks of my legs, I'd rate this: 4.5 out of 5 stars trail run!

In other news, my aspirations in quitting my fulltime job to sell tomatoes on the side of the road during rush hour traffic is moving along quite nicely.
You can call me the urban farmer next time you see me!

Also, you may recall that I planted a bunch of herbs. Except the Oregano, all other seeds are coming along real well. I've got two pots of Genova Basil, two pots of Pesto Basil, and 1 pot of French Thyme. The farthest one is the pot with the non-existant oregano, and i've started slowly transplanting basil into that one to allow the basil more room to grow.

how come two of those tomato plants look so much weaker than the rest of your plants?
