Stockholm Marathon fact of the day

18,736 löpare från 70 nationer är anmälda till Stockholm Marathon, som genomförs nästa lördag, den 30 maj. Rekordsiffrorna präglar den 31:a upplagan. Även de 4,354 kvinnorna utgör den högsta siffran någonsin.

Can you believe that!  Why so few women??

Oh, sorry; I'll translate for you...
18,736 runners from 70 nations are signed up for the Stockholm Marathon to take place next Saturday, May 30th.  Record numbers for the 31st running.  Even the 4,354 women is a record high.

(my super secret goal is to finish in the top 10 runners signed up from the US.  I read that they print little flags of each country on the bib, so that should be interesting to see.  Too bad I can't see the bibs as I'm running past everyone.

Weak. You'll be in the hunt for that goal if you break four hours. Sounds like you're setting yourself up to puss out of a sub three.

don't you worry... I'm not lucky enough to be able to lose a contact lense the day before the race.

Hey, I only did that to make the course a little harder.

Let me write your race report for you:

I was on sub three pace through 25 miles but then my vagina couldn't handle the pressure so I slowed down and finished in 3:05...
