DVD:
It might get loud: documentary about 3 guitarists. It was good, but had to watch it in three parts. Too dull to watch all the way through in one sitting without napping. I still recommend it if you like Led Zeppelin, the White Stripes or U2.

Star Trek: I've never been a fan of Star Trek, but decided to rent this one due to the great reviews over the summer. It was actually pretty decent and I enjoyed it, but at the end of the day, it's still Star Trek, so i can't give it a higher grade just based on principle.

Bruno: Terrible. Turned it off well before the end. I really laughed watching Sasha Baron Cohen's BORAT, but this was grotesquely bad.
No popcorn, not even the salt on the bag.
Terminator Salvation: Looking for a shoot'em up / brainless action / summer blockbuster, this one is decent. I enjoyed it as I was in the right mood for it. Definitely watch it with lights off in the dark, because it's a very dark movie.

District 9 : It's been about a month since i saw it, and i still can't decide how much i liked it. It really has me perplexed. At times i really hated the movie, and at times i really really liked it. Something about the aliens that was just plain bizarre, and the whole storyline is nothing you've ever seen before, but wow, those aliens are tough to stomach for most of the movie.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: Latest installment of the HP saga. I'm so deep into watching all the movies, i have to keep going till the end, since i haven't read the books. This was clearly the worst of all the movies. If it wasn't that I know there are more movies coming and i kind of have to know what happened, i would have turned it off. I was bored to tears.

Public Enemies : I like Johnny Depp in non-pirate roles because he's picky about the roles he chooses and he likes to be different. He did great in the movie, and overall it's a lighthearted action movie of the olden days of gangsters in chicago/usa, but the movie lacked depth. Overall it was fine, just left me wanting more.

GI Joe: Rise of the cobra: This movie sat ontop my dvd player for over a month, and i couldn't bring myself to watch it. Almost everyone i spoke to told me it was terrible, so I mailed it back without watching. It was so bad, it was premeditated bad!

Crank 2: What a disapointment. I loved Crank 1. Brainless non-stop action from the same dude that kicks ass in The Transporter. Crank 1 was plenty silly and unbelieveable, but i still loved it for what it was. Crank 2, is terrible. Shame on me for watching it till the very end. I guess I was just being polite to Jason Stratham as he's entertained me in all other movies he's been in, and i owed it to him. We're even now Jason, which means I can shut your ass off anytime i want. 1 popcorn bucket out of 5.
Taking of Pelham 123: John Travolta as a bad guy, and Denzel Washington as a subway employee. I liked it. I thought it had plenty of depth and the characters were well built and developed.

The Soloist: A homeless man plays the cello in the park, and a dude from the local orchestra brings him in to play and hang out. I loved it. Then again, maybe it's because I watched the 60 minutes documentary on the two real guys.

MOVIE THEATER:
I haven't gone to the movies often in the last many months. It is what it is.
Fantastic Mr. Fox: Hmmm... funny, but I couldn't quite get over the fact that i was in a movie theater watching this thing. But it was enjoyable. A lighthearted rental, not a movie outing. 3 popcorn buckets out of 5.
Avatar : Loved it. I was very much entertained. IMAX 3D.

Wow, looks like i've been on a mindless action/thriller/adventure mood lately. My list actually has plenty of brainier movies towards the top of it, so next time I'll showcase my ability to enjoy non-hollywood crap!
What's in my DVR and top of my netflix DVD queue:
Underworld, rise of the lychans - Milk - Marley and Me - Papillon - Zombieland - City of Men - Murderball - As it is in heaven - The invention of lying - Angels and Demons
Sorry for wasting a couple minutes of your life.

Milk and City of Men are amazing, although very different movies. If you don't enjoy them then you have no redeeming qualities. (How's that for pressure?)
Sorry, meant Children of Men. Haven't seen City of Men (is that really a movie?).
