About a week ago, I met up with some friends for dinner. We ended up at "Frank", a refined Hot Dog place. The menu was daunting, so without hesitation I decided to go with a Mystery Meal.
The rules for the waiter were simple: Any 2 Hot Dogs you personally like a lot, except something with tons of JalapeƱos or overly spicy. I'm ok with bold flavors, not burning mouth.

He came back with the Texalina and the Zwiebelwurst. This was scary, because I completely failed to consider that saurkraut could make it onto my Hot Dog, and I'm typically not a big fan. Just too sour.
The Zwiebelwurst was OUTSTANDING!! I'll definitely have it again should I return!
The Texalina, described as a cross between the best of Texas and North Carolina was pretty good too, but not hot enough (temperature) for my taste. I can't blame the waiter's dog pick on the lack of heat, because it was also quite tasty but it lacked heat plain and simple. (no I did not ask for it to be reheated. You can't reheat an amalgamation of ingredients and flavors)
I'm happy with my two dogs, the tall boy LoneStar beer I had to wash them down, but not very impressed with the blue cheese 'n BBQ sauce waffle fries Jenny ordered for the table to share. In principle, it was a great choice as I like both bleu and bbq, but I wasn't very impressed with the outcome. Again, under heated, in my opinion.
TEXALINA
Our local pork and beef sausage, grilled coleslaw, Carolina mustard BBQ sauce, white cheddar. (the one not in my hand in the photo)
ZWIEBELWURST
Beer soaked brat with caramelized onion, grilled kraut, horseradish mustard. (the half eaten one in the photo)
Overall, yet another successful Mystery Meal!
