Tuesday Aqua Running.

My quads and calves are really sore from Sunday. Coach told the team to take today off or just run a recovery run of any distance. I gladly opted to hit the pool for a non-impact recovery workout.

Right as you enter the pool area, they make sure you know you are not allowed to be a runner.



Here's what the pool looks like at 6:02am. Nice and dark out, steam rising from it.




I it my "run" going at 6:05, and just planned for a comfortable pace for an hour. 30mins in, my friend, and badass runner (2nd Female at the Austin Marathon this year) Niccole surprised me by showing up.
Since we only had one belt, I let her use it while I upped the intensity for 10mins aqua running beltfree, then we alternated between 2 or 3 recovery laps with the belt while the other ran without. It worked out well!



Since she showed up late, she continued on for 15mins, and had no ability to stop me from taking a photo! Ha!
