Eventually we let some go, lost some and a much more manageable group of 6-8 of us ran the rest of the way.
Gradually picked it up for miles 15-19 and it felt good.
After the run and a quick shower it was time for more quad-at-knee treatment. Quite a bit more painful after a long run with sore, tired legs and a crampy calf. Doctor Miller found the crampy calf quick and insisted on inflicting pain to it after I first warmed up the normal problem spot.

Feels great now. I really wish I was a pofessional and could get treatment after every run.
Finally, I've been experimenting with new nutrition products for race day. Can't make up my mind on what to do yet because the new stuff is REALLY different. I'm leaning toward playing it safe and sticking to my trusted Hammergel Espresso.

are we going to discuss or are you going to fly solo on this?
You start your taper now, correct? That should give your knee lots of time to heal. Glad you made it!
Mer, yes, we will discuss! I just tried Vespa on two runs. That's all.
JT, just some tempo and mgp runs tue-thu-tue and then a 14-16 next satyurday and some straggler runs here and there. so yes, looks like I flirted with fire, and survived.
Hard to explain how happy I am to be able to run.
