My current AIRROSTI witch doctor asked me to send him an update on how my IT Band fared during this week's runs. Here's what i sent him.

Hello,
You asked me to provide an update on my ITBand and my runs this week.
I came in and saw you on Monday at 7:30am
Monday- 9:30am run was about 55 minutes, the last 20 minutes were quite bad with ITB flare up of about a 7.5, (from 1-10, 10 being worst)
Tuesday- 45 min run, ITB started to wake up with about 5 mins to go. pain level = 6
Wednesday - Ran 65 minutes, the last 10 minutes were brutal. Total icepick stabbings to the knee. flare up pain was a 8.5/9 out of 10.
thursday - no run
Friday - no run
Saturday - i have to say today I hit rock bottom. ITBand flared up in just 21 minutes. had i not been in the middle of the greenbelt and forced to get back to my car, i would have stopped right there. total run 48mins, ran-walked the last 15 mins. worst part about this is after a 25 mins drive home (gas stop), my knee is in such pain that i'm limping around like a dog that's been shot in the leg, and that's a first. Currently icing it down. I assume icing will end the limping. pain = 10
I look forward to Sunday's run.
i'll update again in a few days.
regards,
Mike

I guess there's no where to go but up!! (unless i stay down as a bottom dweller for a while!) wooohooo!
Oon a separate note, the Frankenstein Marching Band thing I wrote about recently... wow... My hip flexors start to burn within 15 yards! Crazy stuff. Gonna keep working on that and see if it fixes things.
