Last few weeks, the parrot predictor has been all over the place due to our speed workouts.

The missing week I only ran 21 miles due to knee issue, so it didn't have minimum mileage to figure things out. I'm feeling good, so I this this parrot is out of whack, especially since I just ran 17 miles at goal pace, and he still only gave me a 3:10.
One things for sure, a 3:06 or a 3:10 in Boston will be absolutely be considered a failure. (more on race plan and race goals later on next week)
No cracker for you this week, Polly.

Parrot's getting spunky
You know that Parrot predictor i talked about the other day... after today's effort, he thinks I can run a 2:54 marathon.
HAHAHAH!! Get real, little parrot, get real!

Polly says I'm getting faster...
Don't put too much trust in the old Parrot Predictor, but he seems to like what I've been doing these last few weeks.
Then again, with the 16 miles I ran on the greenbelt at slow paces, this weeks' time will shoot back up, regardless how fast i ran Tuesday morning, Thursday morning, and tomorrow morning.
He predicted a 3:09 austin marathon, which is 1 minute off what I ran. I know I had much faster in me that day, but his crystal ball knew what was up. I initially planned to run Boston between 2:59 and 3:03 and was going to be happy with a result in that range as it was more of a celebration of an accomplishment for me than an 'A' race; but, my mental strength is starting to return, and now he's starting to inch down to the promiseland too, so things are on the up and up!
