It cracks me up how everyone keeps saying there's global warming.
Consider the meaning word Global:
GLOBAL:
glob·al ( P ) Pronunciation Key (glbl)
adj.
1- Having the shape of a globe; spherical.
2- Of, relating to, or involving the entire earth; worldwide: global war; global monetary policies.
3- Comprehensive; total
[We all know what "warming" means, so I'll spare you the added reading.]
I lived in Honolulu, Hawaii for 6 years in the early 90's. The weather hovered between 75 and 85F, with the occasional dip into the high 60's. (brrrrr... sweatshirt weather!)
It's now 10 - 15 years later, and I don't see any change. Can someone explain to me either why:
a) Hawaii isn't considered part of the word "Global"
or
b) Hawaii is still a nice and balmy 72 - 79.
No more questions, your honor. The defense rests.

When we have records high one day, it's due to global warming. When I slip on ice and bust my ass during the Marathon, that is just a freak cold day.
and, why don't we use the wind chill factor in the summer? and the heat index in the winter? wtf?
i watched tom brokaw's special on g.w. (global warming, not bush, though i think they are related, like 911 and grimace from mcdonalds) and i got really scared. like so scared i drove 480 miles yesterday in my 1984 car which isn't exactly the cleanest.
but tom told me we have f'ed the world and the world is f'ed. no more polar bears!
