Only half the team showed up as the North group mysteriously pulled a no-show. Will have to find out why at some point in the future.
The "3:10 train" as we've come to call ourselves was aiming for a 7:15/mile splits.
Below are the splits from Bruce's GPS and from my watch (based on the cones)
GPS - Stopwatch
7:14 - 7:08
7:11 - 7:00
7:12 - 7:11
7:20 - 7:29
7:08 - 7:35
(36:04 - goal was 36:15 for 5 miles)
7:06 - 6:46
7:14 - 7:07
7:10 - 7:05
6:59 - 7:13
7:01 - 7:18
(35:30)
7:02 - 6:52
7:08 - 6:59
7:02 - 7:01
6:55 - 7:10
6:44 - 7:03
(34:51)
Interesting how different they are, but fegardless, the finish times are the same.
The Good is that, overall we weren't slow - that would be a bad thing.
The Bad is that, overall we were too fast - that would not be a good thing.
But whatever, close enough, and I felt pretty good throughout. A few of us discussed afterwards and agreed that we could have cranked out a 4th loop at the same pace, which gets us to 20 miles. I'm not nervous of not being about to do 26.2 miles at that pace. There's a month to go, plenty of tapering leading up to the race to load up energy, and then there's race adrenalin, and my motto for this marathon:
BOSTON or MEDICAL TENT
ha ha ha
23.5 miles for the run, as Bruce's GPS clocked in at 23.3, and I decided to go run around the parking lot to get to 23.5.

Wow, none of the north group showed up?? Interesting... Great job on your splits, I heard the rest in the middle made it a little tougher than usual.
